Amaretti: taste and succulence beyond compare!
Francesco Moriondo, confectioner to the Court of Savoy, made the first Amaretti at the end of the 18th century. The few craftsmen, who were privileged enough to know the recipe of Amaretti, guarded it jealously and made these excellent sweet biscuits in such small quantities that only a chosen few had the chance to taste them!
Today we would like to introduce you to Carli Amaretti made according to the original recipe.
These are truly little works of art that tantalize the taste buds, with their distinctive delicate pastry made of almonds, apricots, sweet almonds, sugar and egg whites. They are hand-made and cooked in the oven in a way that retains a moist center covered with a golden thin crust thanks to the expertise of a great master confectioner!
